On 5th of April 2026, Sveland has completed the municipal elections to elect new mayors across the country.

All eyes were on Doetinlingen where Green Party candidate Sjef Veldjen scored a significant 52.6% of the vote compared to exiting mayor Stijn Hoentjen, from the Popular Union, who arrived 2nd place at 26.3% of the vote. This is the first time Doetinlingen will now have a mayor from a different party ever since it was founded and ran by the Popular Union for years without interruption. The results are as it follows here:

And in a shock, the DR party looses the city of Emmelburg, held by the Republicans since 2000, with Bastijn Voorveld from the Progressive Conservative Party of Sveland holding 51% of the vote. This marks the first PCPS mayor in the country ever since the party’s foundation in December 2025.
In Omigrad, Omi Omeshashika has won a new term, winning 68% of the vote.
Manuel Ordanez Flores Luna has also won a new term as mayor of Vilren, in the midlands, with 57.3% of the vote.
