On 7 June 2026, Sjef Veldjen inaugurated the finalisation of the Doetinlingen Underground Metro system, that was in the plans for 3 months. It has been finished 2 weeks ago, but was only inaugurated today due to safety checks conducted by the Minister of Transport Ad Hessink. Sean de Rijck, Popular Union Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sveland, congratulated the workers and wishes the best for the citizens of the capital, saying “transport will now be easier than ever throughout the city!”.
It consists of 5 stops, named after its closest target: Nationale Assemblee, Gemeentehuis, Universiteit, Ziekenhuis, and Intercity Doetinlingen.
